Cumin is a wonder spice when it comes to digestion.

And proper digestion is everything.

The crescent-shaped seed of the Cuminum cyminum plant and has a warm flavour and a strong, pungent aroma. There is also a smaller, darker variety of cumin called black cumin which, added to dishes whole, lends them a smokier note.

Used in countless meal preparations all over the world, cumin is helpful in the absorption, assimilation, digestion of food, and is excellent for improving bowel movements too.

Incorporating it into foods is as simple as a pinch here and a sprinkle there. Beautiful curries and taste bud wowing flavors can be created simply by adding cumin, but there is another super simple way to maximize on its benefits without elaborate recipes.  

Cumin water. 

Cumin water is a fantastic tasting refreshment to be enjoyed during the day, or to be sipped on during your meals. Infusing water with cumin adds a kick to plain water while providing digestive benefits. Make a batch to take it with you in a water bottle to enhance your digestive fire while you hydrate.

To Make:  Boil 1tspn of cumin seeds in a liter of water. Strain the seeds, and sip!
