Healing Has Different Phases

Wherever you’re standing, be all there. That is your starting point.

Healing has different phases, so here’s an analogy to set up a proper expectation:

1. Your house is on fire - the crisis.

2. The fire it out, but you now have to fix the damage - the internal healing.

3. The house is ready for you to move back in again - the optimizing stage.

Note where you are in your process when you work with a health professional.

We tend to wait to get to a crisis stage to seek help & then feel overwhelmed at the amount of things we have to do to het better.

TRUST YOUR PRACTITIONER.

If you picked them, trust their plan, trust the process, trust your body’s ability to heal when you give it the right tools, nutrients, rest & love.

Know that healing is a process, that it isn’t linear, and that you’re still healing even when your symptoms are gone. Healing takes time & commitment.

This is perhaps the most important advice I can give you: to keep going, to stay committed to yourself, to just sit with it a little longer so you get past the ‘getting rid of the symptoms’ phase / putting out the fire & actually reach the true healing phase of regulating your internal mechanisms long enough to optimize your health.

Bc if you don’t, your symptoms WILL come back. You’ll continue to see doctor after doctor, practitioner, healer, energy worker, specialist or whoever you feel called to see & your symptoms WILL keep coming back bc you’re stopping YOUR healing journey halfway through. There is no magic pill, healing takes commitment.

Committing to yourself means going all the way. I fully get it- we find our way out of the discomfort, or just enough discomfort to keep it manageable & we move on. It’s hard to stay committed when the crisis symptoms are gone, but that just means your plan is working! Healing takes time.

You deserve to give yourself fully to you.

Be patient.

Trust the process.

And don’t mind where you’re standing- any point is an excellent starting point. Be there. Know there are phases of your health & be mindful of which one you’re in. Life is long so this commitment you’re making is short in relation to living an optimized, healthy life.
