When I work with you, I am not just looking at your symptoms,

I am looking at your life story.

Most of us don’t have a solid definition of health when we decide to commit to a better lifestyle. We want to be healthy, but what does that actually mean?

In clinical practice, I focus on what health looks like —for you. I look for the why when it comes to what you are experiencing as symptoms and search to find the root cause of any imbalance that may come up. I explain your physiology back to you so you understand how your lifestyle may be contributing to your discomforts. This empowers you to make decisions for your health from a place of intuition, balance and stability. You are a bio-individual and there is no one else like you walking this planet, and this is something I highly respect.

Herbalists don’t treat the disease. We treat the person.

There are no shortcuts to getting you healthy, but there is a way to tune into making your body run in its most efficient way possible- the way it was designed to. This is the central focus of my practice.

I am an Herbalist that specializes in Ayurvedic Medicine and Functional Nutrition.

I graduated from the old world science of Ayurveda and herbology at the Kerala Ayurveda Academy in Los Angeles and finished my studies in Southern India, complemented by a certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York. I have a degree in Psychology from Cal State Northridge which serves in helping not only counsel but deeply understand the emotional and mental components of health, trauma, coping, addiction, and the ups and downs of life in general. My clinical rotations and internships include rounds at the Kerala Ayurveda Hospital located in Cochin, India, the Ayurvedagram Resort in Bangalore, India, the Vandashree Ayurvedic Chikitsaya Clinic in Malvan, India, the Kerala Ayurveda Clinic in Fremont, California, and at Atlas Health in Fairfax, California for Functional Neurology. I am currently working through a Master’s program at the Maryland University of Integrative Health for Herbal Medicine Product Design and Manufacture.

I am Board Certified with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and have countless hours of extended study with the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA) including coursework in Skincare and Beauty, Cancer Prevention and Management, and the Ayurvedic Detox Science of Panchakarma. I continue to follow up my studies with Functional Medicine courses and seminars several times a year, a systems biology–based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. My hospital rotation duties included creating treatment protocols, attending lecture, facilitating out-patient consultations, directing Panchakarma detoxification therapies, formulating herbal and medicinal preparations, presenting clinical case studies and studying Sanskrit. My work based travels have connected me with wonderful individuals pioneering the healing modalities across the world and have granted the opportunity to manage the development of international marketing strategies for the Ayurvedic retreat centers in Maharashtra and teach nutrition as a business strategy in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

By merging the old world with the new world, I truly feel my perspective on health is unique and fully incorporates the mind-body-spirit connection crucial to healing.

Drawing upon everything I have experienced in study and in practice has helped me create a unique point of view of the human body and on how we heal. From my point of view, you cannot fully restore health without considering the physical, mental and emotional parts of yourself because it is essentially all connected. This understanding has allowed me to create personalized wellness medicine for my clients that are suited to the unique body type, lifestyle, preferences, emotions and goals of each individual. It has been the most rewarding part of my practice because even though we are all made of the same stuff, when it comes to our health and health goals, we are all so different. I prioritize helping you find balance in the most wholistic ways possible because it is the only way to regain your body's most natural, intelligent, efficient state, and from this place, the restoration of health, healing and vitality flows.

A bit more:

I served as the Los Angeles State Chapter Chair for the non-profit organization Wholistic Health Alliance, which actively works towards bridging the gap between allopathic and holistic modalities to help dissipate some of the false notions of natural medicine within the community. I was the Kerala Ayurveda Counselor and Practitioner moderator for the students of Los Angeles and hosted a weekly health and wellness segment on an international Spanish radio show, La Pasion Radio. I enjoy making appearances on featured segments raising awareness about holistic medicine and contributing to podcasts, papers and health events often.

No matter where you find yourself on your path to wellness, I am happy to help guide you on your journey to feeling whole again. I understand that your commitment to health is a commitment to yourself and I intend to support you every step of the way. I am here for you.
